Outstanding Survival Rates for Rose Cancer Center Patients
At Rose Medical Center, one of the hallmarks of our comprehensive cancer program is our results or outcomes. We are proud of the fact that our doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals are helping patients live longer.

We can measure this by looking at our five-year survival rates, which record whether a patient is living five years after treatment. This is one way we can measure the effectiveness of our treatment plans.
If we compare our results to those from other cancer centers across the state of Colorado, we see that Rose's rates are higher for the top five cancers we treat: breast, lung, colorectal, uterine & ovarian. Here are some examples:

For Stage II Breast Cancer patients treated at Rose in 1999, by 2003, 91.3% survived, compared to the Colorado average survival rate of 83.8%.

For Stage II Colorectal Cancer patients treated at Rose in 1999, by 2003, 74.4% survived, compared to the Colorado average survival rate of 63.2%.

For Stage I Lung Cancer patients treated at Rose in 1999, by 2003, 61.2% survived, compared to the Colorado average survival rate of 41.7%.
Lifetime Follow-Up for Rose's Cancer Patients
Each year we treat 1,000 cancer patients—each with his or her own medical history. While we cannot guarantee the same results for all patients, we do work with each patient to help them obtain the best outcome possible. To help us track the survivorship of our patients, we look to the Rose Cancer Registry, which tracks lifetime survivorship of our patients.
